Landscape Laborer

Duties

• Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
• Perform lawn care tasks like mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to maintain healthy turf and vibrant lawns
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as pruning, hedge trimming, and soil preparation
• Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscapes
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including weeding, mulching, fertilizing, and seasonal cleanups
• Help with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients
• Assist with tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and basic tree removal using appropriate equipment like excavators or chainsaws

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge related to landscaping tools and equipment
• Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance preferred
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely and effectively
• Knowledge of horticulture principles or willingness to learn about plant care and landscape design
• Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures during construction or landscaping tasks
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and construction environments
