Landscape Laborer

Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios, walls, ponds, and walks.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various landscaping tasks including pruning, digging, and soil preparation
• Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes
• Help with tree care tasks including trimming, pruning, and basic tree health assessments using appropriate equipment like chainsaws or pole saws
• Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, organizing tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge to operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators or snow plows
• Experience or interest in landscape design and maintenance or horticulture practices
• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and digging throughout the day
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and softscape planting preferred. Will teach also.
• Strong work ethic with attention to safety standards; ability to follow instructions clearly and efficiently
• Prior experience in construction or landscaping environments is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
