Landscape Laborer

Position Overview

Smartscaping is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver to support our landscaping and construction operations throughout the Houston Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for transporting crews, materials, and equipment to and from job sites while ensuring timely, organized, and safe deliveries.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks and trailers to various job sites
• Safely load and unload landscaping equipment and materials
• Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, mulching, and clean-ups
• Operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
• Follow safety procedures and company standards
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of trucks and equipment
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors

Equipment & Vehicle Management

• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles
• Assist with minor equipment checks and upkeep

Field Support

• Assist crews with material staging and job site setup when needed
• Support warehouse organization and inventory handling
• Ensure timely deliveries to maintain project schedules

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Maintain a clean driving record
• Ensure all transported materials meet safety standards

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to tow trailers and transport equipment safely
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Strong time management and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping or construction industry
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
