Landscape Laborer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong commitment to maintaining beautiful landscapes. This role involves various tasks related to landscape maintenance, lawn care, and horticulture, ensuring that our clients' properties are well-kept and visually appealing.

Responsibilities

• Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth.
• Participate in hardscape projects including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Operate excavators and other machinery as needed for landscaping projects.
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties.
• Maintain cleanliness of job sites by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs.
• Experience in lawn care practices including mowing, fertilization, and pest control.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques such as planting, weeding, and mulching.
• Proficiency in using hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools (saws, blowers).
• Knowledge of horticulture principles to ensure proper plant care and selection.
• Ability to perform construction-related tasks for hardscape installations.
• Experience with tree care practices including tree trimming and removal.
• Understanding of gardening techniques to enhance aesthetic appeal of landscapes.
