Landscape Maintenance Crew Member

SUMMARY:

Roebuck Landscaping is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member to support day-to-day field operations for our Greenville/Mauldin branch. This hands-on role is essential to delivering consistent, high quality landscape services while protecting client relationships and upholding our production standards.

Crew Members operate as part of a 3-4 person team under the direction of a Crew Leader. This position requires physical stamina, reliability, attention to detail, and a team first mindset. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Field Production & Landscape Maintenance Execution

• Perform routine commercial landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, and debris removal.
• Maintain turf, shrubs, and landscape beds in accordance with contract specifications.
• Assist with weed control, fertilization support, and approved material applications as directed.
• Install seasonal color and perform minor landscape enhancements.
• Support light repairs to edging, beds, and related landscape features..

Equipment Operation & Care:

• Safely operate mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, aerators, and related tools.
• Conduct daily pre-use equipment checks and report mechanical concerns immediately.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization on trucks and trailers.
• Follow all PPE and safety requirements during equipment operation.

Crew Execution & Accountability:

• Follow direction from Crew Leader to execute daily job plans efficiently.
• Maintain professional conduct on client properties at all times.
• Support production pace to meet route timing and quality standards.
• Communicate clearly regarding material needs, jobsite concerns, or safety risks.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all company safety policies and field procedures.
• Maintain awareness of jobsite hazards including traffic, terrain, and equipment movement.
• Participate in required safety meetings and field training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Landscaping or construction experience preferred but not required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks outdoors for extended periods.
• Work Environment: Comfortable working in heat, cold, rain, and varying outdoor conditions.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation preferred; valid driver’s license preferred.
• Safety Focus: Willingness to follow safety protocols and use PPE consistently.
• Growth Mindset: Desire to learn, improve, and advance within the company.

Job Type: Full-time
