Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and planting to keep grounds looking pristine.
• Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes efficiently and safely to complete various landscaping tasks.
• Use power tools like blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and lawn mowers to maintain lawns and garden beds.
• Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and turf.
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate equipment like chainsaws or excavators when necessary.
• Support hardscape projects by preparing surfaces for pavers or stonework; assist with construction tasks related to landscape features.
• Maintain equipment through routine inspections and mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols at all times while handling tools or operating machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to environmental regulations and client specifications.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining landscaping equipment.
• Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
• Skilled in operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair techniques.
• Ability to perform tree care including trimming, pruning, and removal with proper safety procedures.
• Familiarity with hardscape construction materials such as pavers or stonework.
• Good understanding of landscaping principles combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects when needed.
