- Operational Oversight & Coordination: Ensure smooth collaboration across design, installation, and maintenance teams. Support department leads by reviewing project timelines, work orders, and progress reports; help translate plans and construction documents into actionable schedules. Continuously evaluate workflows, job costing, and best practices to maximize efficiency in landscape construction and garden maintenance operations.

Scheduling & Resource Management: Own scheduling for the maintenance department and assist with installation timelines when projects overlap. Balance labor hours, crew assignments, vehicles, equipment, and materials across multiple jobs to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction.

Finance & Performance Tracking: Partner with bookkeeping to review financial reports, budgets, and job cost analyses. Develop and track KPIs for labor efficiency, profitability, and client retention, providing leadership with visibility into operational health.

Staffing & HR Alignment: Support department leads with recruiting, onboarding, and training for crew members, foremen, and managers. Maintain alignment with HR procedures for payroll, compliance, safety, and performance documentation, ensuring a professional and safe work environment.

Communication & Meetings: Lead weekly operations meetings to align priorities across departments. Provide regular updates to leadership and maintain open communication with team leads to identify risks and opportunities before they escalate.

Quality, Safety & Client Support: Uphold landscape construction standards, horticultural best practices, and OSHA-compliant safety protocols. Conduct site visits and audits to ensure quality workmanship, sustainable practices, and adherence to project specifications. Assist with client escalations when needed, while empowering department leads to be primary client contacts.

Equipment & Fleet Management: Oversee care and maintenance of company vehicles, trailers, tools, and irrigation equipment. Track service schedules, repairs, and replacements to minimize downtime and keep crews field-ready.

Drive between project sites and supply vendors (valid driver’s license required).
Qualifications:

Experience: 7+ years in landscaping, horticulture, or construction-related industries, with 3–5 years in operations or leadership roles.

Skills: Strong background in scheduling, budgeting, HR compliance, and cross-team coordination. Able to interpret project and financial reports and turn insights into action.

Knowledge: Familiarity with horticulture, irrigation, soils, and landscape installation best practices. Understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards.

Leadership: Excellent communicator and motivator, skilled at building accountability across teams. Comfortable handling client escalations while supporting department leads.

Tools: Proficiency with spreadsheets, scheduling software, and Google Workspace.

Valid driver’s license & proof of insurance.
