A Landscape Operations Manager has P&L responsibility for 3 departments & proactively oversees services for landscape irrigation, maintenance, and all enhancement contracts. He/she will manage multiple crews and work proactively with the onsite landscape production crews to ensure top-quality, holistic landscaping services for the site. This individual will ensure all contractual services provided by PLM are of the highest quality and completed on schedule, while adhering to the given budget. Maintaining positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and the community through professional, transparent, and timely communications on landscape services and products is essential.

Responsible for the execution of all Maintenance, Irrigation, and Enhancement service contracts for the location, including approvals and renewals.
- Propose, bid, coordinate, and manage seasonal projects and enhancement work.

Provide a high level of customer service and exceptional communication, both written and verbal.

Client-facing role-Assures that contracted services provided are of high quality, meeting deadlines and customer expectations of appearance and beauty.
- Management of the department's budget/profitability & direct costs on contracts & jobs.
- Hire, promote, develop, maintain, and lead first-rate landscape crews.

Oversee site, including scheduling crews, deadlines, and customer service.
- Supervise to ensure that all employees are always working efficiently and safely.
- Manage and track service hours & project costs to produce accurate client billing through the Aspire project tracking software.

Conduct customer walkthroughs and work closely with the Account Managers assigned to the location.
- Train and enforce Best in Class horticultural practices.
- Oversee the care of company assets.
- Work closely with the owner, the client, and administrative support.
- Mentor and coach employees while supporting and contributing to a positive work environment.

Process Improvement and Efficiency
- Analyze current operational processes and workflows.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
- Streamline processes to reduce costs, improve productivity, and quality.

Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and supervise staff, ensuring they are motivated and productive.
- Provide training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment and address team issues promptly.

Forecasting and Labor Management
- Manage and execute weekly and monthly labor planning, updating the VP-Operations monthly.
- Monitor expenses and allocate resources efficiently.
- Ensure the facility operates within its forecasted labor hours/ dollars/percentages to meet financial targets.

Procurement and Inventory Management
- Ensure procurement of products is properly and effectively sourced from the preferred vendor.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Facilitate equipment tracking, auditing, usage goals and preventative maintenance.

Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management
- Ensure that operations comply with industry regulations and company safety standards.
- Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure execution of all standard company processes (e.g., Stretch & Flex, Gate Check, etc.)
- Conduct audits and ensure documentation is maintained properly.

Reporting and Performance Metrics
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance.
- Report operational progress and challenges to the VP of Operations timely.
- Use data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement; use of company systems and tools – Aspire.

Customer Service, Satisfaction, and Jobsite Quality
- Ensure that operations support excellent customer service and job quality.
- Address any operational issues that impact customer satisfaction.
- Implement processes to improve customer experience.
- Lead or contribute to operational projects aimed at improving the business.
- Coordinate teams in the branch to achieve branch growth and operational goals.
- Ensure client’s work is delivered on time, within scope, and forecast.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including staffing, equipment, and technology.
- Forecast operational needs and plan for future resource requirements.
- Ensure that the company can meet operational demands.

Collaboration and Communication
- Serve as a bridge between various branch departments (Office Admin, Senior Leadership, Sales, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate and execute operational excellence strategies through partnership with the VP of Operations.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as vendors and clients, to optimize operations.
- 2 or 4-year degree in a landscape or business-related field or equivalent experience in a similar service industry
- Minimum 5 years in the landscaping industry
- Minimum 2-3 years of management experience within the landscape or service industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and programs, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Aspire.
- Experience with mobile applications and software, including but not limited to, retrieving email from a mobile device, accessing and using mobile applications, taking and sharing pictures
- Demonstrates ability to function successfully in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Common PNW Plant Identification, Disease and Pest Identification, water requirements, and pruning techniques for PNW plants are required.
- Experience in leading and supervising multiple crews of 3-12 members
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish English a plus.
- Current WA state Pesticide Applicator license or ability to obtain within sixty (90) days.
- Currently hold and maintain a valid WA state driver's license and current insurance.
