Landscape Operations Manager / Field Manager

LawnMore Core Values

Every person we hire is expected to embody and champion our three core values. The Operations Manager role is no exception — this person sets the tone for the entire field team.

  • Do the Right Thing — Honesty, accountability, and integrity in every decision, even when no one is watching.
  • Always Be Positive — Bring energy and optimism to the team, especially under pressure. Attitude is contagious — ours lifts people up.
  • Excellence by Design — We don’t settle for good enough. Every job, every interaction, every system should reflect a standard of quality we’re proud of.

Leadership Upside & EOS Expectations

LawnMore runs on EOS — the Entrepreneurial Operating System. This role is a seat at the leadership table, not just a field management position. We are looking for someone who has high potential to grow into a senior leadership role as the company scales. With that comes real responsibility and real opportunity.

We are guided in our leadership philosophy by Gino Wickman and René Boer’s book How to Be a Great Boss. The person in this role will be expected to embody these principles — not just manage tasks, but genuinely lead people. We evaluate our leaders against three core criteria derived from that framework:

  • Get It — They intuitively understand what it means to be a leader in a field service environment. They don’t need to be told why accountability, consistency, and team morale matter.
  • Want It — They genuinely want to be a great boss — not because they have to, but because they care about the people they lead and the business they are building.
  • Capacity to Do It — They have the skills, experience, and bandwidth to do the job right. Growth is expected, but the baseline has to be there.

This person will attend the weekly L10 Leadership Meeting and quarterly offsite planning sessions. They will have a seat at the table when we set company Rocks, review the Scorecard, and work through issues as a leadership team. This is not a role where you show up, complete tasks, and clock out. This is a role where you help shape what this company becomes.
