Landscape Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through a variety of landscaping, gardening, and groundskeeping tasks. Responsibilities

• Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep lawns healthy and vibrant
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, tree trimming, planting, mulching, and weed control
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery including excavators and snow plows safely and effectively
• Install and maintain hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape structures
• Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal watering efficiency
• Support seasonal tasks like snow plowing in winter months to keep properties accessible and safe
• Conduct routine inspections of landscapes for health issues or maintenance needs and address them proactively

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping equipment and hand tools
• Familiarity with lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, horticulture principles, and gardening techniques
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Prior experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is a plus
• Knowledge of tree care including trimming and pruning techniques for healthy growth
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems, hardscape installation, and general construction methods
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintenance tasks and project completion
• Valid driver’s license; certification in landscaping or horticulture is advantageous but not mandatory
