Laravel Backend Developer – Laboratory Information System (LIS)

We are building a next-generation SaaS-Based Laboratory Information System (LIS) that streamlines laboratory operations, enhances clinical workflows, and integrates with healthcare systems. Our platform covers modules for test management, patient records, billing, insurance, analytics, and HL7 integrations.

We are looking for a skilled Laravel Backend Developer to join our team on-site at Johar Town A3, Lahore. You will play a key role in building, optimizing, and scaling mission-critical backend services for our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend features using Laravel and MySQL.
• Design and implement APIs for seamless integration with React frontend and external systems.
• Work on LIS workflows such as test management, billing, insurance, and HL7/Mirth integrations.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing modules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Laravel (5+ years preferred) and backend PHP development.
• Expertise in MySQL, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of healthcare data integrations (HL7, Mirth Connect) is a plus.
• Understanding of software security and compliance standards (HIPAA/PHI preferred).
• Familiarity with Git, deployment workflows, and modern development practices.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

• Previous experience with LIS, EMR, or EHR systems.
• Understanding of React.js for cross-team collaboration.
• Cloud hosting knowledge (AWS, DigitalOcean, or Azure).
• Experience with queues (Redis, RabbitMQ).
