LaTeX Pre-Editor (Long-Term Publishing Project)

We are seeking skilled LaTeX Pre-Editors to join our team for an ongoing publishing project. The role involves working with LaTeX source files to ensure they are clean, consistent, and ready for downstream production processes. Candidates with XML conversion knowledge will be given additional preference.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail, strong technical document-handling skills, and experience in academic or technical publishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-editing of LaTeX source files to ensure accuracy, structural clarity, and adherence to project guidelines.
• Use internal tools to identify, mark, and modify document components such as equations, figures, tables, references, metadata, etc.
• Ensure documents are optimized for smooth downstream workflows, including potential XML conversion processes.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to meet daily/weekly deadlines.
• Maintain proper documentation, reports, and task status tracking throughout the project.
• Follow quality standards and contribute to continuous workflow improvement.

Required QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor’s degree.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in LaTeX editing and typesetting.
• Ability to understand and work with complex academic or technical documents.
• Good analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Comfort working with structured files and digital content tools.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with document processing workflows.

Experience

• Prior experience in LaTeX pre-editing, typesetting, or similar content-preparation roles is highly preferred.
• Experience in XML workflows or content conversion will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
