Latin Tutor (Part-time / Flexible)

Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Latin Level 1-4 Tutor to support a High student in developing strong skills in Latin language, grammar, and reading comprehension. The ideal candidate is patient, engaging, and able to tailor lessons to the student’s level and goals.

Duties

• Provide one-on-one or small group Latin tutoring sessions (in-person)
• Teach Latin grammar, vocabulary, and translation skills
• Assist with school coursework and exam preparation
• Create customized lesson plans and practice materials
• Encourage consistent progress and confidence in learning Latin

Requirements

• Degree in Classics, Classical Languages, or Linguistics preferred
• A background in Classics, Classical Languages, or Linguistics combined with education experience is highly preferred
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organized, and student-focused

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
