Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily laundry operations including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and distribution of linens, towels, and uniforms.
  • Ensure all laundry equipment is maintained in excellent condition and report any malfunction or repair needs.
  • Manage uniform issuance, collection, and inventory to ensure each staff member has access to clean and properly fitted uniforms.
  • Inspect uniforms and linens regularly for quality, arranging for repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules to ensure proper staffing and efficient workflow in the laundry department.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate laundry attendants and uniform staff to deliver consistent service quality.
  • Monitor stock levels of chemicals, detergents, and linen supplies, reordering when required.
  • Maintain proper documentation for inventory control, stock movements, and cost monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including the safe handling of laundry chemicals.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of fresh linens and uniforms.
  • Plan for peak periods and special events to ensure laundry operations meet hotel demands.
