Laundry Attendant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, contributing to an exceptional guest experience in a hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures for various types of fabrics.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are treated with care.
• Inspect items for stains or damage prior to laundering and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspaces.
• Ensure proper inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Collaborate with hotel staff to meet specific laundry needs and ensure timely delivery of clean items.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
