Laundry Attendant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial washers, dryers, presses, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, bedding, and employee uniforms.
  • Process guest laundry requests accurately and within established service timelines.
  • Inspect linens and uniforms for stains, damage, or wear and report items requiring repair or replacement.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and organization of linen storage areas.
  • Follow established chemical handling and laundry procedures to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure all laundry equipment is clean and functioning properly; report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry facility at all times.
  • Assist Housekeeping and other departments with linen distribution as needed.
  • Adhere to Hilton brand standards, hotel policies, and safety regulations.
  • Support sustainability initiatives through efficient use of water, energy, and laundry supplies.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests and team members.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and safety procedures preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a warm and humid environment.
