Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry / Housekeeping Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. This role is responsible for daily housekeeping duties and laundry services in accordance with infection control standards and facility policies.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas

• Disinfect high-touch surfaces according to infection control standards

• Remove trash and handle waste properly

• Replenish supplies (paper products, soap, etc.)

Laundry

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold resident laundry

• Distribute clean laundry to resident rooms

• Label and organize personal clothing

• Follow proper infection control and linen handling procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail

• Compassionate and respectful toward residents

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs

• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and pushing carts

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
