Job Title: Laundry Manager

Job Summary:
The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the complete operations of the laundry department. This role ensures the efficient and timely cleaning, processing, and delivery of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, quality, and hygiene. The Laundry Manager also supervises staff, maintains equipment, manages inventory, and controls departmental costs to support the overall service standards of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily laundry operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and fabric care for all items processed.
  • Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate laundry staff to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage inventory of linens, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and cost control.
  • Enforce safety standards and hygiene procedures in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring expenses are controlled without compromising service quality.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints regarding laundry services with professionalism and prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet operational needs and service expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Laundry Manager or in a supervisory role within hospitality or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of laundry processes, fabric care, and equipment handling.
  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Basic budgeting and inventory management skills.
