About The Role

As the Laundry Manager at The Meydan Hotel, you will be responsible s to plan, organize, and execute the daily operations while ensuring that all standard operating procedures are strictly followed. You'll lead and manage a team to ensure all linens, uniforms, and guest items are processed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of cleanliness and care.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the daily operations of the laundry department, assigning and reviewing work for the team to ensure overall efficiency.
  • Ensure proper handling of all guests and house laundry, establishing and maintaining standards and procedures to guarantee quality. Regularly analyze procedures to find ways for improvement and institute safety measures.
  • Select, supervise, and train all laundry and valet staff. You will be responsible for managing staffing levels based on business demands and ensuring all employees have the proper supplies and equipment. Conduct monthly departmental meetings and manage performance reviews and disciplinary procedures.
  • Comprehend budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to assist in the financial management of the department. Participate in controlling expenses to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order and operated correctly. Oversee inventory and ensure stock of linen pars is maintained.
  • Investigate complaints and take corrective measures to ensure guest and staff satisfaction. You will also handle and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Maintain open, collaborative relationships with associates and other departments, ensuring a smooth workflow and effective communication.


Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Laundry Manager, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of laundry machinery, chemicals, and fabric care.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
