LAWN CARE TECH w/ FERTILIZATION, WEED, INSECT, DISEASE CONTROL EXPERIENCE

35 year established local landscaping company offers a full range of commercial and residential landscaping services. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill our Lawn Care (Fertilization) Chemical Application Technician Position. The ideal candidate has fertilizer and pesticide experience and a consistent continuous work history with an emphasis on safety in the workplace.

We are a single source landscape service provider and we take pride in working closely with our customers to come up with creative approaches to their vision and solutions to their landscaping needs.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Apply fertilization applications to customer lawns
• Diagnose and treat issues associated with lawn care.
• Mix and apply pesticides as needed.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience with lawn fertilization, chemical, & spray applications
• Current RI Commercial Applicators license or in process/able to get one.
• Valid RI Driver's license
• Knowledge of the following: Fertilizer Application , Weed Control, Tick Control, Disease Control, Grub Control, Mosquito Control, Problem Diagnosis, Soil Tests, Slice Seeding, Aeration, etc.
• Customer service experience
• Ability to manage projects according to contract and budget
• Ability to work independently outdoors
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to operate equipment efficiently and safely at all times
• Experience using a ride-on PERMAGREEN spreader or Z-sprayer is a plus!
• High school education
• Should be well groomed, punctual, reliable, & personable, with high work ethics.
• Ability to pass a background check

We offer competitive compensation and top pay for top workers, along with paid holidays after the first full year of employment. Hourly compensation rate depends on experience and performance.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
