Lawn Care Technician

Ranger Services, Inc is looking for a self-disciplined, personable, professional Lawn Care Technician to join our team.

Lawn Care Technician responsibilities include:

· Diagnosis and treatment of various turf related diseases and conditions

· Fertilization

· Weed control

· Surveying landscapes and making recommendations based on best practices for plant needs

· Accurate record keeping and documentation/paperwork

· Sales and customer service / account management

NOTE: This position does NOT include mowing responsibilities

Applicant needs (or has the ability to obtain) a 3.0 pesticide certification for the state of Wisconsin

General requirements:

- A solid foundation of turf and turf related conditions (identification, diagnostic evaluation, and care/maintenance techniques) is required

- Knowledge of plants/trees (identification, diagnostic evaluation, and planting/care/maintenance techniques) is preferred

- A 2-year or 4-year degree in a related field and/or at least 2 years of experience

· Ability to establish good communication and resolve customer concerns

· Ability to work confidently as part of a team or independently

· Good time-management skills

· Ability to be flexible with changes in job scheduling

· Ability to work in varying weather conditions

· Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

· Wisconsin state pesticide applicator 3.0 certification (preferred)

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
