Lawn Care Worker

Are YOU looking to earn more this Summer? Join a growing lawn care business where you’ll work outdoors, run your own route, and have the opportunity to increase your pay through performance. Start part-time, with the goal of transitioning into full-time work as the route grows.

Currently, I have a small customer base of ~20 excellent customers. Our main service is weekly mowing, which is probably 80% of the work. The rest is aeration, power raking, bush trimming, over-seeding, fall leaf cleanup, and occasional light yard work.

Base pay starts at $16/hour. After 4 weeks, I’ll introduce Pay-for-Performance. I can offer you 1/3 of the total revenue you generate. This means the more efficiently you work (without cutting corners), the more you can earn. Many days, this can push your effective hourly rate to $21+/hour. Pay is calculated over a 2-week period to keep things fair and consistent. P4P is an incredible system to reward good workers for being efficient, so you’re not limited to just hourly pay. Top performers will naturally earn more as the route grows.

Work begins by 7-8 AM, all depending on the weather. As we approach July, work starts at 7 AM to get through as many lawns as possible before the hot afternoon sun. I run a flexible, drug-free, fair work environment - as long as the work gets done on schedule. You’re welcome to take an off-the-clock lunch break, up to 45 minutes.

You will be working solo, running your own route after training. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working alone, staying focused, and taking pride in their work. You can expect to do 6 lawns a day, Tuesday-Thursday. Spring is typically busy, and I’ll be actively adding more customers to the route. A full schedule will be 8-12 lawns a day, Monday-Thursday, with fewer or none on Fridays (up to 40 hours.)

You will need to be comfortable using power equipment. We use a commercial stand on riding mower that requires skill to operate, and I will teach you how. I have a unique equipment setup that you don’t typically see. It’s a work van that houses all of the equipment you’ll need. A 32” stand on mower, 30” push mower, aerator, power rake, trimmer, edger, blower, and miscellaneous hand tools. The van also includes a dash camera for recording front and rear, which doubles as a backup camera. You won’t have to worry about hauling a trailer, and all of the equipment stays out of the hot sun or rain! Sometimes rain is a challenge, but we still mow lawns if it’s not actively raining or grass is too wet. There is a 4-week trial period to ensure it’s a good fit for both of us.

I’m looking for someone who:

  • Will consistently be on time for work.
  • Works efficiently solo and is self-motivated.
  • Helps and leaves customers happy.
  • Is comfortable using power equipment.
  • Physically is capable for a full day of work.
  • Can start by or before April 7th.
  • Has a valid driver’s license.
  • Must fill out an employment agreement, W4 & I9 forms.

This is NOT a good fit if you:

  • Struggle to stay productive without supervision.
  • Dislike working outdoors in the heat.
  • Prefer slower-paced or low-effort work.

If a job like this sounds exciting to you, apply today! I’ll schedule a time where I can show you the equipment and see if this is a good match. I look forward to meeting you!

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
