Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools to perform mowing, edging, trimming, and general lawn maintenance.
• Maintain landscape features by planting, pruning, fertilizing, and identifying various plants and trees to ensure healthy growth.
• Manage irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency and plant health; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients.
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including hardscape repairs, planting new greenery, and caring for existing gardens.
• Use construction experience to assist with minor landscape construction projects such as installing retaining walls or pathways.
• Identify different plant species and pests; apply appropriate pesticide management techniques following safety protocols.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of lawn equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools.
• Extensive experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, tree care, and horticulture practices.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators when necessary for larger landscaping projects.
• Knowledge of pesticide management procedures to ensure safe application and compliance with regulations.
• Skilled in lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration.
• Familiarity with snow plowing equipment and procedures for winter maintenance tasks.
• Construction experience related to landscaping projects or hardscape installations is a plus.
