Job Summary

Highland Lawn and Landscaping is looking for a dependable, hard-working Lawn Maintenance Technician I to join our maintenance team. This is an entry-level field position responsible for helping complete scheduled lawn maintenance work with quality, pace, and professionalism while protecting customer properties and following safety standards.

This role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in their work, wants to grow in the landscape industry, and can work well as part of a crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine lawn maintenance services including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing
• Help keep properties clean, sharp, and professionally maintained
• Assist with load-out, jobsite setup, and end-of-day cleanup
• Operate basic landscape equipment safely and correctly
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report any issues right away
• Protect turf, planting beds, irrigation components, and hardscape from damage
• Follow crew leader instructions and maintain production pace throughout the day
• Report property damage, customer requests, equipment problems, or safety concerns immediately
• Work safely in all weather conditions while following company safety standards and PPE requirements

Qualifications

• Landscaping or lawn maintenance experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work well with a team and take direction
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work for extended periods
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Valid driver’s license is a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace
• Must be willing to submit to drug testing

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Some seasonal overtime may be required

• Serving Brazoria and Fort Bend counties

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
