About The Role

As a Lawn Spray Technician in our Lawn Care department, you will be responsible for applying lawn care treatments that keep our customers’ properties healthy, green, and weed-free. This hourly, full-time position combines hands-on outdoor work with customer service, as you will regularly interact with homeowners and property managers while performing scheduled applications. You will operate company equipment, follow detailed treatment plans, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with product labels and company standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to learning proper application techniques and lawn care best practices.

What You'll Do

• Apply lawn care products including fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides according to labeled instructions and company procedures
• Operate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, hoses, and other lawn care tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow daily schedules and service routes to complete treatments on time and according to work orders
• Inspect lawns for weeds, insects, diseases, and other issues; document findings and recommend appropriate treatments
• Mix and load products accurately based on lawn size, treatment type, and safety guidelines
• Communicate professionally with customers on-site, explaining services performed and answering basic lawn care questions
• Provide feedback to supervisors on lawn conditions, product performance, and any customer concerns
• Keep accurate records of materials used, application rates, and services completed for each property
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of chemicals
• Perform routine equipment checks, minor maintenance, and cleaning to ensure reliability and safety
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity and quality standards
• Participate in training on lawn care products, equipment, safety, and customer service as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles as needed
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required state or local pesticide applicator licenses or certifications
• Basic understanding of or willingness to learn about lawn care products, turf types, weeds, insects, and diseases
• Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and light rain
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds, push spreaders, handle hoses, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail, including following written instructions, product labels, and safety procedures
• Good communication and customer service skills; able to interact politely and professionally with customers and coworkers
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time schedule, including occasional overtime during peak seasons
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing daily routes and time effectively
