Position Summary:

The Part-Time Legal Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor to mobiXapps, providing expert guidance on a flexible schedule. This role is ideal for a professional seeking to manage legal risk and ensure corporate compliance while supporting our fast-paced technology environment. The counsel will work closely with all departments, offering legal support on a range of matters critical to our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, vendor, and client contracts, ensuring compliance with Egyptian law.
* Intellectual Property (IP) Protection: Advise on the protection of the company's IP, particularly copyrights for software and trademarks, in accordance with Egyptian Intellectual Property Law No. 82 of 2002.
* Data Privacy and Cybersecurity: Ensure the company's compliance with Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and provide guidance on related cybersecurity matters.
* Labor and Employment Law: Offer legal counsel on employment matters in compliance with Egyptian Labor Law, including reviewing employment contracts and providing advice on HR issues.
* Corporate Governance and Compliance: Advise on corporate legal matters, including regulatory filings and general compliance with Egyptian business laws.
* Legal Research and Support: Conduct legal research on emerging laws and regulations affecting the tech industry in Egypt and provide ad-hoc legal support to the business as needed.
Qualifications:
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) or an equivalent law degree from a reputable university.
* Must be a licensed and active member of the Egyptian Bar Association.
* [3 - 7] years of legal experience, with a strong preference for a background in technology, commercial, or corporate law.
* Demonstrated expertise in Egyptian contract law, IP law, and data protection regulations.
* Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple legal tasks effectively on a part-time basis.
* High ethical standards and a strong sense of integrity.
