Lead 2's Preschool Teacher

• Overview

The Lead 2 Preschool Teacher is responsible for fostering a nurturing, play-based learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a strong connection to the natural world. This role emphasizes child-led exploration, with a significant portion of the day spent outdoors, allowing children to learn through hands-on experiences in all seasons.

As a Lead 2 teacher, you will thoughtfully design and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and experiences that emerge from children’s interests and support the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. You will incorporate natural and organic materials into both classroom and outdoor environments, promoting sustainability, sensory exploration, and environmental awareness.

In this leadership role, you will model best practices, guide assistant teachers, and maintain a calm, respectful classroom environment. You will also build strong, collaborative relationships with families, communicating regularly about children’s growth, development, and daily experiences.

The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, values outdoor learning and nature-based experiences, and takes care in creating meaningful, engaging lessons that inspire children to learn through play, discovery, and connection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
