Lead Backend Architect & Hands-On Engineering Owner – Live Crowdfunding Platform (KSA Market)

Role Overview

• We are seeking a hands-on Lead Backend Architect to serve as the technical owner and primary contributor for a live, high-volume Saudi Crowdfunding Platform operating under strict financial regulatory requirements.
• Based preferably in our Karachi or Lahore office, this role demands a seasoned engineer (6+ years) who actively writes, reviews, and deploys production-grade Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js/TypeScript code daily while simultaneously directing the architectural vision and security posture of the entire payment orchestration layer.

Core Responsibilities

• You will take end-to-end responsibility for the resilience and transactional integrity of microservices handling actual money movement, requiring deep expertise in idempotent design, ACID-compliant MySQL optimization, and reliable asynchronous messaging (RabbitMQ/NATS) using advanced patterns such as Transactional Outbox, Debezium CDC, Dead Letter Queues, and Circuit Breakers.

Security & Compliance

• A critical component of this role is ensuring the platform's Information Security and Resilience are architected to successfully pass multiple VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing) rounds annually—this means you will identify inherent risks in KSA-specific integrations (Banks, Payment Gateways, SIMAH Credit Bureau, e-Signature providers), mitigate them through secure coding (OAuth2/OIDC/SSO), and design failure-recovery mechanisms that preserve data integrity under any failure scenario.

Leadership & Collaboration

• As the squad lead, you will mentor junior developers, drive Agile sprint execution, and translate complex regulatory and business requirements into documented technical specifications (UML/Sequence Diagrams).

Requirements

• Seasoned engineer (6+ years of experience)
• Actively writes, reviews, and deploys production-grade Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js/TypeScript code daily.
• Deep expertise in idempotent design.
• ACID-compliant MySQL optimization.
• Reliable asynchronous messaging (RabbitMQ/NATS)

Pay: Rs350,000.00 - Rs500,000.00 per month
