Lead Bartender

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Bartender to help with bar operations in a lively hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive bartending experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and creating an inviting atmosphere for guests. Previous experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable. The Lead Bartender will play a key role in maintaining the bar’s reputation for quality and efficiency while fostering a welcoming environment for patrons.

Duties

• Lead and supervise bartending staff to ensure smooth service during shifts
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
• Manage Toast operating system to process orders efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and adherence to food safety and food handling standards
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and place orders as needed
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol laws and responsible serving policies
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing concerns
• Oversee cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for transactions
• Assist in training new staff on beverage preparation, Toast and customer service protocols

Skills

• Proficiency with Toast POS system.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele
• Experience in fine dining, banquet settings, or food service industries
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to serve alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal regulations
• Basic math skills including retail math for cash handling and sales transactions
• Previous experience in hospitality, food industry, brewing, catering, or retail environments is preferred
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and manage shifts effectively
