Lead Bartender- Fat Tuesday Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort

Fat Tuesday at Sandestin is a high-energy, fast-paced environment located in The Village of Baytowne Wharf. The Lead Bartender must be comfortable leading during busy peak hours, engaging with guests from all over, and maintaining a clean, fun, and efficient operation at one of the resort’s most iconic and lively venues.


Job Summary:

The Lead Bartender at Fat Tuesday plays a key leadership role in creating a lively, upbeat, and high-energy guest experience in one of the most popular daiquiri and frozen cocktail destinations within Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. This position is responsible for bartending while also supporting operational excellence through inventory control, staff mentoring, cleanliness, and guest service. The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages including frozen daiquiris, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks according to Fat Tuesday standards
  • Provide excellent guest service in a fun, welcoming atmosphere
  • Lead the bar team by example during service, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow
  • Assist with onboarding and training new bartenders and barbacks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar stations, machines, and work areas
  • Monitor product levels and assist with inventory, ordering, and restocking
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service policies and verify guest age when necessary
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately; balance drawers as needed
  • Maintain consistent communication with management regarding issues, needs, or guest feedback
  • Support scheduling, side work assignments, and bar closing/opening procedures
  • Ensure adherence to health, sanitation, and safety standards at all times
  • Represent the Fat Tuesday brand and the resort with professionalism and personality

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years bartending experience in a high-volume environment
  • Previous supervisory or lead bartender experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, leadership, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • TIPS or Responsible Vendor alcohol certification preferred or ability to obtain
  • POS and cash-handling experience required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., kegs, boxes, beverage mix)
  • Must be able to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to work in a loud, high-energy environment indoors and outdoors
