As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo Operations Team in Doha as a Lead Cargo Trucking Operations Officer.

About the role

The role will be responsible to conduct analysis on trucking solutions used for Qatar Airways Cargo to ensure smooth functioning of all aspects of trucking solutions in use by Qatar Airways and following up of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and standard operating procedures. Provide continuous improvement methods on trucking solutions.

As part of your daily responsibilities, you will also:

• Implement and follow-up on SLA and KPIs for trucking providers.
• Communicate with network on potential trucking options and possibilities.
• Interface with internal stakeholders for ad hoc / special trucking requirements.
• Design and conduct workshops through presentations and manuals to improve quality of trucking solutions.
• Conduct irregularity analysis, provide corrective and preventive actions to avoid quality defects.
• Conduct ad hoc trend analysis to identify improvement actions.
• Interface with local and regional operations staff to ensure the trucking oversight and interaction is in place at key stations.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4 years’ experience in road freight/trucking
• Good knowledge of European road transport operations
• Knowledge of non-European road transport operations is a plus but not essential
• Understanding of trucking solutions and types of equipment used in road transportation.
• Understanding of basic legislation regulating road transport in Europe (i.e. AETR, ADR, ATP, CMR etc.)
• Prior experience in working with trucking transport management system is preferred
• Experience in implementing and monitoring SOPs, SLAs and KPIs in road transport operations is a plus
• Advanced MS office skills
• Excellent command of the English language
