Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to manage and complete residential remodeling projects, specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of carpentry and construction management. This role requires overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Project location are generally Carroll County, Northern Howard County, Northern Frederick County, and Western Baltimore County. A work vehicle is provided.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpenter apprentices' and trade contractors.
- Manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Utilize CoConstruct software for project management, documentation, and communication.
- Interpret blueprints to execute tasks accurately with high quality and accuracy.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to younger team members on best practices in carpentry and construction techniques.
- Oversee the use of tools, materials, and quality of all workers on the job site.
- Assist in construction planning for the completion of the project.
- Maintain effective communication with the salesperson and client regarding progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry with a strong background in residential remodeling.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints effectively.
- Ability to operate tools related to carpentry and general construction tasks safely.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to complete tasks on time.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
