Lead Childcare Teacher

Position Summary: The Lead Early Learning Center Teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. This role includes planning and implementing curriculum, leading classroom activities, and ensuring the overall growth and development of children in accordance with the center’s philosophy and state regulations. The teacher will work closely with other staff, parents, and management to create a supportive and effective learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Foster learning through play-based and hands-on activities.
• Track and assess children’s progress and adjust curriculum as needed.

Classroom Management:

• Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline.
• Supervise assistant teachers and ensure an organized classroom.

Child Development:

• Provide individualized attention to support each child's development.
• Promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents about child progress.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and nutrition standards.
• Implement emergency procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct daily health checks and follow up on concerns.

Team Collaboration:

• Work with staff to ensure consistency and quality.
• Attend meetings and participate in professional development.
• Support smooth operations with the management team.

Parent and Family Engagement:

• Maintain open communication with parents.
• Encourage parent involvement in learning activities.
• Address parent concerns professionally.

Qualifications:

• Certificate/Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• 6+ months of experience in early childhood education.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

*Pay will depend on education and experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.77 - $14.00 per hour
