Lead Civil Construction Engineer

Job Summary;

We are currently hiring a Lead Civil Construction Engineer (Substations) to join our team and lead civil works execution across high-voltage substation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within quality standards, and in full compliance with HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil construction activities for HV/MV substation projects (foundations, buildings, cable trenches, roads, drainage, etc.).
• Supervise contractors and site teams to ensure work execution meets approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with electrical, planning, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure smooth site progress.
• Review civil method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, and ensure proper implementation on-site.
• Monitor daily site progress and prepare reports, forecasts, and manpower/equipment plans.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and site safety requirements.
• Manage inspections, material approvals, and handover documentation.
• Support project management in resolving site technical issues, claims, and variations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering .
• 8–12 years of experience in civil construction, with strong exposure to substation projects .
• Proven experience leading site execution teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of civil scope in substations (earthworks, concrete works, buildings, drainage, trenching, fencing, etc.).
• Familiar with project documentation, ITPs, method statements, and quality standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
