What is a "Lead Cloud Platform"?

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our dynamic team to lead and manage the Cloud Portfolio (multi-cloud, hybrid cloud etc.) within the enterprise business unit. The ideal candidate will be leading the evaluation process to select, implement, and maintain the best cloud solutions for the organization. Candidate will work closely with internal teams and external teams to manages the development of scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Guides requirement gathering activities with stakeholders and vendors. Work closely with concern teams to maintains up-to-date, extensive, and deep knowledge of cloud products, technology, and best practices. to assess risks, protect sensitive data, and provide guidance on strengthening our overall security posture. The role also focuses on troubleshooting, planning, and innovating new products in cloud environments, specifically VMware, to optimize processes and enhance cloud operations.

The role reports directly to the CTO Enterprise .

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain VMware-based cloud infrastructure.
• Plan and implement cloud services and architecture solutions.
• Monitor the performance and health of the cloud platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the cloud platform.
• Design and implement new cloud services within VMware environments.
• Collaborate closely with the product team to introduce and integrate new services into the cloud Work Closely with CTO and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and SAAS strategies.

• Oversee the Enterprise cloud financial operations, ensuring effective management of cloud spend across multiple cloud providers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement cost-optimization strategies and financial accountability, driving cost efficiency.

Key Skills Required :

• Solid understanding of VMware-based cloud environments, including ESXi and vCenter.
• Experience with VMware Tanzu or DevOps practices.
• Experience with NSX-T
• Advance knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and network interfaces (NICs).
• Hands-on experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Familiarity with key concepts such as DNS, HTTPS, and NTP services.
• Ability to optimize and scale cloud infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Understanding of security practices, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.

Good to Have :

• Experience with OpenStack.
• Certifications such as VMWARE Cloud Foundation, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Architect.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and manage the cloud team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with organizational goals.

Reporting & Documentation

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and policies.
• Develop and present regular reports on cloud performance, costs, and security metrics to senior management.
• Ensure all support required to Cloud Secops teams for compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Education & Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in VMware Cloud, network operations, or DevOps-related roles.
