Lead Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

EGEC Qatar is hiring a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our on-site team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in electrical design, BIM implementation, and leadership within multidisciplinary project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the on-site electrical design process for major building and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with international and Qatari standards across all phases of electrical system design.
• Review and validate all technical documentation and Revit models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams (architectural, mechanical, structural).
• Supervise junior engineers and BIM/Revit technicians.
• Manage client meetings and represent EGEC in technical discussions.
• Implement and maintain BIM/Revit processes across projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Mandatory proficiency in Revit MEP and BIM tools.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, and ETAP.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Previous experience in Qatar is preferred.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements and UPDA certification is a plus.
