Senior ELV Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ELV Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in ELV systems design within Qatar, with a strong background in systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, BMS, fire alarm, and other ICT/ELV-related systems. The candidate must possess deep technical expertise, project coordination skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality design documentation for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and engineering of ELV systems for large-scale commercial, residential, and industrial projects

Prepare detailed design drawings, system schematics, and technical specifications

Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to ensure design feasibility and accuracy

Coordinate with project stakeholders, consultants, architects, and contractors to align design intent and ensure technical compliance

Ensure all ELV designs meet international and local standards (QCDD, Kahramaa, Ashghal, etc.)

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen

Review shop drawings, submittals, and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness

Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for ELV scopes

Support procurement by reviewing vendor submittals, BOQs, and technical comparisons

Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in ELV systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of ELV design experience in Qatar

Proven experience with ELV systems such as:

CCTV and IP Surveillance

Access Control & Door Entry Systems

Structured Cabling Systems

Public Address and Voice Evacuation

Fire Alarm Systems

IPTV, SMATV, Intercom, and BMS

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), MS Office, and relevant design software

Knowledge of local authority requirements and regulations (QCDD, Ashghal, etc.)

Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills

Valid Qatar Driving License is a plus
