Lead Elementary Science Teacher

UDesign School of Art is seeking a passionate and creative Science Teacher to inspire young minds and bring science to life! In this role, you’ll not only teach engaging science classes for elementary students but also develop innovative curriculum, design hands-on activities, and organize exciting science events and field trips. We’re looking for someone who thrives on creativity, can work independently, and enjoys brainstorming fresh ideas for new classes and experiences. You’ll be responsible for crafting detailed proposals, leading dynamic lessons, and sparking curiosity in students through interactive, fun instruction. Primary Responsibilities:

· Design and lead exciting, hands-on science lessons that spark curiosity in elementary students

· Inspire a love of discovery by turning complex science concepts into fun, accessible activities

· Create a classroom environment that is positive, energetic, and supportive of active learning

· Adjust lessons and activities to meet the diverse learning of students

· Build strong connections with students and families while collaborating with the UDesign team

· Develop innovative curriculum and interactive science projects

· Propose and plan new science programs, ensuring activities are both educational and enjoyable

· Work independently to research, develop, and implement creative new ideas for programming

Qualifications:

· Hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)

· Minimum 1 year of experience in a formal teaching role (excluding substitute teaching) with a focus on science instruction

· Minimum 1 year of experience creating and developing lesson plans or curriculum materials

· Available to work weekday evenings and Saturdays
