Lead Experiential Designer / Producer (2 YRS LEADERSHIP EXP REQ.)

New York, United States

Job Title: Lead Experiential Designer / Producer

Location: Times Square, NY

Job Type: Seasonal/Contract

About:

At We Love Pop Ups, we bring immersive holiday magic to life through Frosty’s Christmas Bar — the most over-the-top, joy-filled Christmas pop-up experience in the country. With locations in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Houston, and Austin, Frosty’s transforms venues into multi-sensory wonderlands where guests can sip themed cocktails, take unforgettable photos, and dive headfirst into festive nostalgia.

We’re expanding to new cities this season and are looking for 2 Lead Experiential Designers/Producers to help us design and execute these immersive environments.

If you live for creative transformation, production design, and hands-on collaboration — this is your stage.

Job Description: We’re seeking visionary experiential producers with a strong background in event design, scenic installation, or immersive production. You’ll lead the creative buildout and oversee all aspects of Frosty’s transformation — from concept to final walkthrough.

This is a three-week production sprint, where your ideas and leadership will shape the full guest experience — lights, decor, flow, and festive storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of decorators to install large-scale holiday décor across multiple Frosty’s pop-up venues (bars, restaurants, and retail spaces).
  • Design and implement creative holiday décor plans that align with Frosty’s immersive theme and each venue’s unique layout.
  • Assign and oversee tasks, ensuring efficient use of time, staff, and materials to meet tight buildout deadlines.
  • Collaborate with event producers, creative directors, and technical teams to integrate décor seamlessly into the full event experience.
  • Source and manage installation of décor elements such as Christmas trees, garlands, wreaths, lighting, ornaments, and custom props.
  • Ensure safety and quality of all installations, confirming décor is secure and meets venue regulations.
  • Maintain décor during the pop-up’s run, managing any repairs, updates, or adjustments.
  • Coordinate with vendors for delivery, setup, and teardown of large-scale elements.
  • Motivate and lead your team, fostering creativity, efficiency, and high standards of execution.
  • Report progress to event managers, track milestones, and ensure all installations are completed on schedule.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in event decorating, set design, experiential installation, or holiday décor production.
  • Proven leadership or team management experience in event or production settings.
  • Strong creative vision with a keen eye for color, texture, and spatial design.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple buildouts simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with lighting, electrical setups, rigging, and décor installation best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with production teams, vendors, and venue partners.
  • Physical stamina to lift, move, and install large decorations as part of hands-on work.
  • Flexible schedule — available for travel and extended hours during the 3-week production window.

Benefits:

  • Competitive seasonal pay
  • Opportunity to lead and manage a creative team
  • Dynamic and creative work environment
  • Work on high-profile pop-up events

How to Apply: If you're passionate about holiday décor and have the leadership and creative skills to make any space sparkle with Christmas cheer, we'd love to hear from you!
