Lead Front Office Agent | Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel

What You’ll Do
You will be at the center of the hotel's operations - the Front Office. As a Lead Guest Services Agent, you’ll serve as the welcoming face of the front desk while helping guide the daily work of the team.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, and passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. If you enjoy connecting with people and sharing your knowledge of the area while delivering exceptional hospitality, this could be the perfect role for you.
In addition to ensuring every guest receives excellent service from check-in to check-out, you’ll help lead the front desk team and support smooth daily operations.
A lot goes into creating a great hotel stay, and you’ll play a major role in making that happen. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in owning the front desk experience.
Key Responsibilities
Our fast-paced environment requires clear communication and a high level of professionalism. You should be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and adaptable when situations change.
Daily responsibilities include:
  • Setting a strong example for team members through excellent guest service and professionalism
  • Providing guidance and support to team members using our PMS, productivity tools, and communication systems
  • Assisting with training and onboarding of new team members
  • Ensuring team members follow hotel standards, procedures, and service expectations
  • Helping facilitate smooth shift transitions and front desk coverage
  • Supporting airline crew and agents with prompt and professional service
  • Handling cash responsibly and accurately
  • Using computers, databases, and property management systems to manage reservations and guest accounts
Where You’ve Been
We’re looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably three to six months of related hospitality or customer service experience.
Most importantly, you should be a people-person. You will interact with guests and team members throughout your shift and should always communicate in a polite, positive, and professional manner. The ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment is essential.
When You’re Here
While much of your time will be spent at the front desk, this is an active role. You may spend time standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally climbing stairs.
You must also be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
In exchange for your flexibility, we offer competitive pay, hotel discounts, and the opportunity to grow with a dynamic and expanding hotel company.
