Description:

A Lead Guardian is responsible for supervising the daily operations for the Flagger/Guardian crews they are assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement crew schedule received from the Field Supervisor.
  • Get ice, water and gas for crews daily.
  • Ensure Flaggers/Guardians have all PPE on, compliant work zones, and are meeting/exceeding customer needs.
  • Training and coaching Flaggers/Guardians.
  • Work closely with the Field Supervisor to report any concerns and ensure that they get corrected in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Field Supervisor in gathering all work vehicle keys at the end of the shift.
  • Keep up with gas and credit card receipts and submit them to the Field Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience of interstate traffic control experience
  • Pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
  • Have a valid driver's license, good driving record and qualify as a company driver.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Be willing to travel. Paid housing & per diem on special cases.
  • Be willing to work 8 – 10-hour shifts, weekends if necessary.
  • Have reliable communication to receive work schedule.
  • Provide your own steel-toe or composite work shoes to be worn during your work shift.

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain.
  • Be able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
