Lead Host/Hostess

We are looking for a hospitality-oriented host or hostess who is friendly, outgoing, approachable and enjoys the energy of a busy restaurant. You must have strong communication skills for speaking with guests both at the Tavern and on the phone taking reservation, take-out orders, function and catering requests. This is a long-term employment opportunity.

• Maintain a clean appearance as you are the first impression guests have upon entering the Tavern.
• Greet the guests as they arrive and leave the restaurant to ensure a positive experience.
• Effectively maintain reservations to maximize covers and manage walk-ins with approximate wait times.
• Maintain a neat, organized entry area.
• Ability to maintain composure and multitask in a sometimes stressful environment
• Team player who looks for ways to help-out other employees whenever needed.
• Ability to work 6+ hours on your feet and sometimes until 11pm.
• At least 19 years old and 1+ years experience as a host or hostess in a busy, fast paced casual or fine dining restaurant is required.

Hire is available immediately, but we are able to wait until the perfect candidate is found. Pay depends on experience and skill.

This is a long-term employment opportunity. You will not be considered unless you are at least 19 years of age and have at least 1 full year of experience hosting in a fast-paced casual family dining restaurant!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
