Job Description - Senior ServiceNow Tester
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow Testing
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of solutions delivered on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both manual and automated testing, with deep expertise in the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
The role involves validating ServiceNow implementations, enhancements, and integrations while working closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to maintain high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy
Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ServiceNow implementations and enhancements
Define test scope based on business requirements and technical specifications
Participate in requirement analysis and solution design discussions to ensure testability
ServiceNow Functional Testing
Perform end-to-end testing across ServiceNow modules such as:
Incident Management
Problem Management
Change Management
Service Catalog
Request Management
Validate workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts, and integrations
Automation Using ATF
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework
Create reusable test suites for regression testing
Execute automated test cases during build cycles and releases
Analyze ATF test results and troubleshoot failures
Integration & Data Validation
Validate REST/SOAP integrations and API responses
Perform data validation across ServiceNow tables
Ensure data consistency between integrated systems
Defect Management
Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools
Work closely with developers to analyze root causes
Ensure proper validation of fixes before closure
Agile Testing Support
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups
Provide testing estimates and input during sprint planning
Support continuous testing within Agile delivery cycles
Release & UAT Support
Support user acceptance testing (UAT)
Coordinate with business stakeholders for validation
Provide release readiness reports and quality metrics
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of ServiceNow testing experience
Strong experience validating ServiceNow platform implementations
Core Technical Skills
Hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Automated Test Framework
Experience in:
Test case design and execution
Functional testing
Regression testing
Integration testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
ServiceNow Platform Knowledge
Good understanding of modules such as:
Incident Management
Problem Management
Change Management
Service Catalog
Request Management
Understanding of workflows, Flow Designer, and business rules
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of:
ServiceNow integrations (REST / SOAP)
API testing tools
Data validation techniques
Exposure to additional ServiceNow modules
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release processes
ServiceNow certifications (CSA preferred)
Soft Skills Required
