Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Our goal is to support early childhood development while creating a positive and supportive environment for both children and staff.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our team.

Position Overview

The Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment for infants (6 weeks – 12 months). This role requires strong knowledge of infant development, safe sleep practices, and the ability to maintain daily routines that support each child’s individual needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a licensed childcare center and a passion for early childhood education with a min of 2-3 years as a lead infant teacher.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants throughout the day
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
  • Follow all Bright from the Start / DECAL regulations and safe sleep guidelines
  • Prepare and feed bottles according to parent instructions
  • Change diapers regularly and maintain proper sanitation practices
  • Track daily activities including feeding, diaper changes, and nap times
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s daily progress
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that support infant development
  • Maintain required child-to-teacher ratios at all times
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members and center leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years working in an infant classroom in a licensed childcare center preferred
  • CDA, TCC, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not required depending on experience)
  • Must be able to meet Georgia Bright from the Start requirements
  • Must pass a background check and fingerprinting
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and remain active throughout the day
