Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood education
- Lead daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with families to support individual learning goals and communicate children's progress effectively.
- Incorporate specialized techniques such as Montessori methods and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services.
- Manage classroom activities with a focus on toddler care, preschool experience, and childcare best practices while maintaining compliance with licensing standards.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Support team members through mentorship in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management to foster a collaborative teaching environment.
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory activities.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques specific to infant and toddler care environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields preferred; Montessori certification is a plus.
