Lead Infant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of infant children (ages 6 weeks to 18 months). The Infant Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans and ensuring that each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes language, sensory, and motor skills.
• Plan and conduct daily lessons that cater to the diverse needs of children, including those with special educational needs.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess children's progress through standardized testing and informal evaluations.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and any concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that encourages exploration and learning.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Must have 90 hours (Growth and Development ages Birth-12, and Infant/Toddler curriculum certificates)
• Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and flexibility in teaching approaches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.75 - $18.25 per hour
