Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities for infants, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula incorporating principles of curriculum development, literacy education, and early intervention strategies
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and sensory play to promote healthy development and comfort
- Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting milestones and communicating with families about their child's growth and needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies
- Support children with special educational needs by adapting activities and working closely with specialists in childhood development and child welfare
- Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety standards, conducting regular safety checks, and managing behavior effectively
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare or preschool settings is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education practices including curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists in the field of childhood development
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is advantageous
- Previous experience in private school or daycare environments that emphasize childhood welfare and developmental milestones
