Lead Janitor - Seattle

The Job
  • Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
The benefits
  • Full-time benefits, including medical, dental, 403(b) retirement plan, life insurance, and mileage reimbursement. Relay pays 100% of an employee’s medical, dental, and vision premiums.
What you’ll do
  • Train new janitors
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees when the supervisor is not on site
  • Conduct building inspections when the supervisor is not available
  • Disinfect touch-points and wipe surfaces
  • Ensure restrooms and terminals are clean including furniture, glass, and outside cleaning
  • Provide basic floor care tasks such as vacuuming, daily carpet spotting, sweeping, and mopping
  • Confirm all equipment is in good and safe working condition
  • Dust, empty trash, stock restrooms, and clean walls, windows, and countertops
  • Communicate with a supervisor about inventory needs.

  • A can-do attitude and team spirit!
  • One year of experience as a janitor, housekeeper, or other cleaning role is helpful
  • The ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Perform work that includes lifting items up to 50 lbs., carrying, bending, and pulling
  • Speak and understand Basic English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and independent decision-making
