Job Summary:

Lead Mechanical engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects by overseeing all mechanical aspects, from design and installation to commissioning and troubleshooting. He will lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing technical expertise, guidance, and quality control throughout the construction process.

Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to):

· Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team on assigned construction projects.

· Review and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with codes and standards.

· Develop and implement mechanical construction plans and procedures.

· Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.

· Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.

· Identify and resolve mechanical engineering problems during construction.

· Conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications.

· Prepare technical reports and documentation.

· Manage project budgets and timelines for assigned mechanical work.

· Mentor and develop junior engineers on the team.

· Confer with contractors and clients to implement sequence of operation.

· Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

· Supervise, install & evaluate mechanical work & systems to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.

· Provide feedback to design engineers on design problems and needs for authority approvals concern.

· Oversees installation work to ensure that system and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

· Perform supervision of work conducted by contractors as per base line schedule approved and met client satisfactions.

· Coordinate with other trades for installation to maintain the schedule for material delivery & engineering work.

· Review material submittals as per QCS, QCDD requirements and project specification and coordinated with other trades in case interfaced.

· Review shop drawing and insure that as per design approved by authorities and coordinated with other trades.

· Review as-built drawing

· Provide the support and cooperation regarding the Quality department requirements and Audits.

· Provide the support and cooperation regarding the Business development & tenders management activities when requested.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

· Minimum 15 years’ experience in mechanical engineering.

· Must possess UPDA grade A

· High proficiency is MS Office applications

· Stay up-to-date on the latest mechanical engineering technologies and best practices.

· Extensive experience with mechanical systems used in construction projects (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).

· Proficient in construction project management software.

· Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.

Required Skills:

· Familiarity with machine startups;

· Strong analytical and mathematical skills, capable of making complex calculations, and good statistical knowledge.

· Problem-solving skills.

· Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
