Lead Pipeline Design Engineer

We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Lead Pipeline Design Engineer with a strong background in Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design for large-diameter, cross-country pipeline projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with major engineering consultancy firms and possess a solid understanding of global pipeline engineering standards.

Preferred Background:

Candidates with experience in renowned engineering consultancies such as ILF, Penspen, Worley, Wood, McDermott, or similar organizations will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pipeline engineering activities across Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design stages.
• Prepare, review, and validate project specifications, technical documents, and engineering calculations.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
• Develop pipeline routing, layouts, ROW selection, hydrotest plans, HDD designs, and detailed stress analysis.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to project timelines.
• Support pipeline studies including wall thickness calculations, HDD assessments, hydrotest planning, buoyancy control, stress analysis, and HCA evaluations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline engineering and design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Piping or Mechanical Engineering (PE/EIT certification is an advantage).
• Strong experience in cross-country, large-diameter pipeline projects.
• Expertise in relevant design standards, regulatory codes, and pipeline engineering software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Must hold a Qatar Engineering License (MME/MMUP/UPDA).
